Martin-Paul Samba

Died on 8 August 1914

According to UNESCO, Martin-Paul Samba was shot by firing squad at Ebolowa on 8 August 1914, after proceedings separate from those of Rudolf Duala Manga Bell, hanged the same day in Douala. The two men led distinct resistances to the German administration, put down on the same day, as the First World War opened.
